According to a report by BERI of the USA on business risk assessment, Taiwan was graded 1A in investment environment, which is a country of low risk and is suitable for investment. A report released by EIU of the UK also rated Taiwan as one of the best place for business operation in the period of 2006-2010. Furthermore, IMD of Switzerland has released the rating of "World Competitive Power in 2010" whereby Taiwan was rated 8th place, substantially ahead of China, Korea, and Japan.

Goods arriving at Taiwan Free Trade Zone are not required to pass through the customs passage, customs clearance, bonding, and customs supervision, and are not required to declare import duty, commodity tax, and sales tax. Goods can be converged in the zone for in-depth processing and value adding, and then re-exported to all parts of the world. The zone allows for 98/3 (98% of the goods can be delivered within 3 days) or even the six-star logistic service of 100/2 (100% of the goods can be delivered in 2 days) in favor of the customers. The brand new mode of logistic operation will become the standard operation procedure in the free trade zones of Taiwan and round the clock service will be available in major seaports and airports.
